Skeleton Crew

Panel 1:
We're on an island in the Devil's Roar. The atmosphere is heavy and oppressive. An Ashen Crewmember, carrying an explosive barrel, approaches another skeleton who's up to his shoulders in a hole in the ground. A shovel rests in the dirt behind the hole. In the distance, we can see a sloop passing an erupting volcano.
Ashen Crewmember: So you know Flameheart's whole deal?
Ashen Crewmember: Destroying the world?
Buried Skeleton: I'm familiar with his manifesto, yes.

Panel 2:
The Ashen Crewmember kneels down, passing the explosive barrel to the buried skeleton. In the background, the sloop is hit by molten rock, and bursts into flames.
Ashen Crewmember: Well, what if I don't want to destroy it?
Ashen Crewmember: I like the world!
Ashen Crewmember: It has me in it!

Panel 3:
The Buried Skeleton pulls the exploding barrel into his hole. The Ashen Crewmember grabs the shovel, pulling himself to his feet. In the background, the sloop is sinking fast.
Buried Skeleton: I don't think we have much of a choice, here.
Buried Skeleton: I mean, it's either obey, or get set on fire.

Panel 4:
The Ashen Crewmember starts to shovel dirt over the head of the Buried Skeleton. In the background, the volcano lies dormant once more; the sloop has sunk without trace.
Ashen Crewmember: So our options are burn now, or burn later?
Buried Skeleton: He's a maniac, but at least he's consistent.
